ل الثلج الجاف الشحن الجوي, confirm the applicable dangerous-goods requirements and the accepting carrier’s current instructions before preparing marks, labels and shipment data. Distinguish the UN identification and shipping name from the hazard label and the air-waybill entry. Passenger baggage and postal exceptions should not be copied into ordinary air-cargo preparation.
Establish the shipment category first
Identify the carrier, أصل, وجهة, عدد الحزم, contents and dry-ice net quantity in each package. Check whether the contents themselves are dangerous goods. A food parcel cooled with dry ice and a regulated specimen shipment may require different preparation.
IATA: dangerous goods regulations and resources identifies the dangerous-goods framework and resources. Use the applicable current requirements, including relevant state and operator variations, rather than a checklist carrying an old year in its title.
49 CFR 173.217: ثاني أكسيد الكربون, صلب is a separate US regulatory reference with conditional provisions. Its quantity exceptions are not permission to skip a carrier’s acceptance requirements.
Separate marks, labels and shipment data
| غرض | فحص التحضير |
|---|---|
| علامات تحديد الهوية | Required shipping name and UN identification for the shipment. |
| كمية سائل التبريد | Dry-ice net mass in the required units, associated with the correct package. |
| تسمية الخطر | Applicable Class9 label and placement requirements. |
| العناوين | Correct shipper and recipient information on the package. |
| Transport data | Required dry-ice entry and package information. |
| Other dangerous goods | Additional classification, packaging and documentation where applicable. |
Net dry-ice mass is not the parcel’s gross weight. With several packages, keep quantities linked to the individual packages; do not copy a shipment total into every package field.
Use a carrier-specific example carefully
FedEx US: dry ice shipment preparation provides a US-facing preparation example covering UN1845, the shipping name, كيلوغرام, addresses and the Class9 label. It also distinguishes its documentation path when dry ice is the only dangerous good. Confirm that the selected service and route follow the instructions being used.

Check the finished package before release
- Keep required marks and labels visible and legible.
- Check that pouches, logos and tape do not obscure them.
- Use labels and dimensions meeting the applicable instructions.
- Reconcile package identity and coolant quantity with shipping data.
- Remove misleading obsolete marks from reused packaging.
- Check the gas-release design and outer-package acceptance.
Label completion does not compensate for an unsuitable sealed container. If an overpack is used, assess its visibility and marking obligations separately rather than assuming the inner packages are enough.
